Kuchikästli, Chuchichästli oder Chochichästli?
The flair of this restaurant is created by the old wooden ceiling and the old farmer's chest origniating in the 18th century. The name of the restaurant is related to the "Kuchikästli" itself, the over 200 year old cupboard or cabinet standing in a corner of the restaurant. The world "Kuchikästli" and its correct pronounciation is often used to proof the complexity of the Swiss accent to people from other German speaking countries. In every days life the word "Kuchikästli" is probably as often used as a Scott would admit that he is fond of England.
At the "Kuchikästli" you can order salad007, being shaken at your table, as a snack we serve bread and ham on a wooden board or your soup is being served in an old enamel pot.
You will find the Grison speciality "Kapuns" further developed as a "Trilogy of Kapuns".
