The walls of this room go back to 1888
This room and its walls origin in 1888. The house built on top of it
was one of the first three building along this road, now called "Voa
principala". Within these over 100 years the cellar had been used to
store all kinds of goods. In the year 2004 the team of the hotel Lenzerhorn decided to do
something about this shabby room. They cleaned, hammered, shovelled,
plastered and ceiled until it looked like you see it on the pictures. For over 2 years we finally use it again as a wine cellar.
It is in here where we gladly tell you stories about the area, the
hotel and disclose some secrets of the wines and specialities being
stored within the old walls.
The wine cellar 1888 can be used for receptions for up
to 20 people as of CHF 25.00 per person (min.8 persons) and per hour. This price
includes typical "Bündner" snack specialities.
Welcome to "Graubünden" - the area of the famous Pinot Noir!
Before you hear more at our hotel we would like to offer you some links and information right away. Unfortunately the following links are only in German language. We still want to offer you these links and we will be working on additional ways to give you some details about the pinots and other great wines of the area: graubündenwein.ch offers information about all aspects of wine. Recent news can be found in their newsletter, the Weinmagazin (664KB).
A great "thanks" or in Swiss dialect a great "Merci" to our partners growing all the wines we may offer you - this great selection of excellent wines would not exist without their hard work in nature and in the wine cellar!
